Lifeline Gippsland Fundraiser $21,130
Our 8th Year of supporting Gippsland Lifeline, and
once again, all three clubs,
L.V Country Line Dancers, Rebel Bootscooters and
Ramblin'Rose,
worked all year, ending with a wonderful 2 Day Event and what an
amazing event it was.
Our weekend is split between a Gentle Social on
Saturday and a slightly harder Social on Sunday,
allowing all levels the
opportunity to dance.
We saw over 180 Students and Instructors through
the door, both our own students
and lots of visitors supporting the final event
for our years tally.
We are extremely proud of our association with Lifeline,
and with a combination
of this year's work and our 2 Day Event, we raised
$20,130.
In addition to that, we also received a very generous $1000 from
Time
to Shine Bootscooters Club. How wonderful is our Line Dancing fraternity.
Depression / Suicide is something that affects so
many families, and our Line Dancing
is such a wonderful way of helping to
prevent it.
Not only do we get to exercise on whatever level we choose, but
more importantly,
we get to socialise in a safe environment,
create new friends
and create a community of support as well.
We wish to thank every person who has supported all
our mini fundraisers during the year,
all our crafty people for the amazing things they make, our helpers along the way
and every person who was with us
during our 2 Day Event.
You are such wonderful groups and Linda, Sue and Elaine
cannot thank you and our supporting clubs enough,
who have helped us raise
another wonderful total.
Through having fun, coming together and raising
money.....we have helped those who,
in their darkest time, needed help...Thank
you:)
